Nestle Prepared Foods Company says it will increase production at its Jonesboro plant, adding 120 jobs in the process. The company has made Stouffer's and Lean Cuisine frozen prepared meals at Jonesboro since the facility opened in 2003. It later added Hot Pockets brand sandwiches. In April, more than 60 new employees were added to the business. The company said Thursday that, with the additional jobs, total employment at the Jonesboro plant will be almost 600 by the end of the year. Plant manager Jim Triskett said in a news release that the plant's business is strong and the company plans to continue to grow in Jonesboro. The company said at a news conference that it has found it costs less to make and ship products from Jonesboro. Major railroads and interstate highways cross less than an hour south of the city, near Memphis, Tennessee.
