The reigning lords of college football venture outside the castle today for the first time this season. Fittingly, the Florida Gators woke up this morning in Tupelo, Miss., the birthplace of The King, Elvis Presley. The Gators' first road test of the season is a matchup of the haves and have-nots of the Southeastern Conference. No. 3 Florida (3-0) and its offensively anomalous spread-option attack is more than a three-touchdown favorite against the defensively dreadful Mississippi Rebels (1-2). ''[Florida] looks like the best team we have played since I have been here by far,'' Mississippi coach Ed Orgeron said. ``The fastest team; the best-coached team.'' With sophomore quarterback Tim Tebow its catalyst, Florida's offense is scoring points at a record-setting pace.
