Hwy 53 ramp work begins on MondayConstruction of a right-turn-only lane on to Highway 53 will close one lane of traffic on East Main Street beginning Monday, September 24.The project is expected to last approximately four weeks. During construction hours, work crews will close one lane of westbound traffic but will reopen it at night.Trucks wishing to turn onto northbound Highway 53 are advised to use Sand Lake Road as an alternate route.The city is constructing a third lane between Green Coulee Road and the northbound Highway 53 on-ramp as a way to free up turning vehicles."We just want to get that traffic through the intersection faster so we don't back up so many cars," said city engineer Jarrod Holter.
